This Old Tree

Looking for ways to spruce up your tired, pseudo-19th Century village? I find that a coat of puke-yellow paint, applied evenly to the bark of the trees that enclose my little Mennonite community, really spruces things up. Be sure to wear a robe while you do it, to avoid any unsightly yellow stains.

It's a great way to sex up the village's border. Plus, it helps keep the fake monsters out!

I believe that Benjamin Moore called that shade "The Semi-Gloss We Do Not Speak Of" (the shade was custom-blended by Stevie Wonder). Perfectly period-appropriate with a "mad coyote" applique trim (placed slightly higher above the molding than one would expect!) for a truly charming "rustic fantasia" feel.

Now, I will go die of sepsis. Slowly. Oh so slowly. No, seriously, guys, it may take WEEKS.
